We had the use of an enormous sugar beet field by kind permission of Mr Richard Ward. The weather was reasonably kind, not too hot and with a gentle breeze but every now and again there were a few spots of rain.
Our judges were Dave Haycock and Charlie Albone, Mike Birchall was the Chief Steward and Gilly Bell the Dog Steward. Our thanks to them and the army of helpers who made the test possible. Thanks, also, to our sponsors: Skinners and Gundog TV.
The day started with two marks in front followed by a single crossing mark. The third round was two long marks that could be in front or behind. Finally, there was a run off for four dogs, taking the form of a drive followed by a blind for each dog.
