Demonstrations at Collingham Show on Saturday 17 September 2016

Our two demonstrations went down very well at this lovely show.  The ring was large, so gave plenty of scope for interesting retrieves.  There were plenty of good comments from visitors and Collingham Show committee members alike.

Our team was Vicki Strawson, Caroline Pont, David Robinson, Jean Cochrane, Mike Godson and Gilly Bell.

Demonstrations at the Lincolnshire Show on 22 and 23 June shows

We enjoyed giving two demonstrations on each day of this year's show.  Will Hales masterminded the shows and our team was Sue Lowe, David Falshaw, Tracy Elliott, Julie Campbell, Sue Lowe, Sarah Coomber-Smith, Vicki Strawson, Joy and Keith Parker.  It was great to welcome both adults and children to meet our dogs betweeen demonstrations and there were plenty of questions about gundogs and their training.

Countryside Lincs Demonstrations on Sunday April 10th

countryside lincs (1)

Our Demonstration Team (Sam and Martin Davis, Vicki Strawson, David and Ellie Robinson,  Caroline Pont, Jean Cochrane and Gilly Bell and their gundogs) gave two demonstrations at Countryside Lincs at The Lincolnshire Showground.  The event is aimed at children to allow them to experience all things countryside.  It was a warm sunny day and lots of families enjoyed a variety of activities and things to look at including cattle, sheep, chickens, birds of prey, foods including bread making, machinery including tractor and trailer rides - and, of course, gundogs at work.

The highlight of our Training and Informal Match at Ulceby on Saturday 2 April 2016 was when we were able to present a cheque to two of the Specialist Occupational Therapists from the Assisted Discharge Stroke Service for Lincolnshire.  As a result of the amazing generosity of those who supported our Charity Working Tests at Raithby on Sunday 13 March, the cheque was for an incredible £1440.  The nurses were delighted that they will now be able to buy much needed equipment to help and support their patients recovering from strokes.
