Presentation of the Charity Day cheque to the Teenage Cancer Trust

 atterby2015presweb.jpg

Thirty members enjoyed the Training and Informal Match at Atterby on Saturday 9 May.  Perhaps the highlight of the day was the visit of Angela, the East Midlands Representative of the Teenage Cancer Trust.  Angela described the work of the Trust in funding research into the types of cancer that are most likely to affect young people and especially in supporting teenagers during treatment.  We were able to present her with a cheque for £1215, the money raised by the generosity of our members and friends at our Charity Working Test on Sunday 15 March .  Angela said a huge thank you to everyone who supported the day.

Countryside Lincs at Lincolnshire Showground on Sunday 29 March 2015

We were invited to do two demonstrations at Countryside Lincs.  This is a new venture designed to interest youngsters in all things countryside from tractors to cows to bread making to spinning to ..... to gundog work.  Even the dreadful weather could not dampen the spirits of our team (Charlie Albone, Mike Bircham, Mabel Clarke, Martin Eveleigh, Sue Lowe, Mike Williams and Gilly Bell) who wowed the audiences with the abilities of their dogs.
