The award winners
The All Aged Stake was held at Cubley, Derbyshire on 7 November 2017, by kind permission of the Hon. David Legh. The judges were Alan Fryer, Philip Smithies, Robert Daws and Sharon Kitson.
Despite the miserable weather, (it rained persistently for most of the day), everyone remained cheerful throughout the four drives which produced a mixed bag of duck, partridges and pheasants. The dogs put themselves out as the day progressed, until we were left with two survivors.
The winner took home the magnificent Murrayhill Rose Bowl, the Ossie Cup and a tankard presented by our host engraved with the Legh family crest. The youngest competitor, aged 13, was Guns' Choice, she also received an engraved tankard, as well as the Morinda Cup. As a club we are very fortunate to have such a generous host, who was at hand throughout the day to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
