Open with Intermediate Awards
The Open Test with Intermediate awards was held in June at Kelmarsh by kind permission of the Trustees of the Estate. Our Judges were Jim Gale, Andrew Wright and Ken Byron. The morning was made up of a variety of tests under the 3 Judges and this was followed after lunch with a walk up. This test was memorable for the fantastic turn out of helpers, some from the training classes, who did all the usual tasks of firing guns, throwing dummies, stewarding dogs and handlers, selling raffle tickets and all the odd jobs that crop up over the day. They were all so cheerful and helpful that it was a real pleasure to have them there and we were very grateful for all their hard work. They also said –as we are always telling new members-that they learnt things from watching the dogs and handlers in action.
