The third novice stake of the season was held at Hall Farm, Shustoke on 12 January, by kind permission of Sir Matthew Dugdale and kind invitation of Mr Simon Howe. The judges were Phil Bruton, Dorothy Walls-Duffin, Helen Goodwin and Catherine Munn.
