URC North Midlands area held their Open test on Sunday 5 May at Moscar Cross Farm, Strines, Sheffield by kind permission of Steve and Ernest White. Judges for the test were Brian Chesser, Jane Fairclough and Phil Robinson.
The tests were set on steep heather moor with deep scars and rough white grass and sieves. Unusually for Strines the weather was warm and sunny.
The morning tests were all double static tests with a mixture of marks and blinds. 16 dogs were taken through to a walk up and a drive in the afternoon.
The results were as follows:
1st Mr S Gilliver Lab (B) Singley Black Beauty at Minerskiln, awarded the URC Silver cup and Bronze Pheasant for the winner and Hope Valley trophy for the highest placed North Midlands member
2nd Mr P Stogden Lab (B) Routengill Daisy.
3rd Ms S Briggs Young Lab (D) Rimrock Victory
4th Mr J Cardno Lab (D) Etomanni Comanche
COM Mr G Dobbs Lab (D) Woodcockhill Duiker, also awarded the Hallamdale Tankard for Highest placed training class member
COM Mr M Shetcliffe Lab (D) Brisineamen Arthur
