On 28 April 2024, we held our first test of the year: a Novice and Veteran on the beautiful Welbeck Estate by kind permission of Mr Parente. To say it was wet is an understatement but we were all in good spirits and with an entry of 39, we commenced with 30 dogs. Our judges were Ms Margaret Rowson, Mr Casper Jonson and Mr Fred Newton. Our Chief Steward was Mr Dave Haycock. In the morning we had 3 tests: a long mark on the lake, a double mark, and a mark with a return for blind, with a static test and a walk up after lunch. I would like to thank our judges and all the helpers who, as Mr Tim Brain said at the end of the day after winning the Veteran, they had all gone above and beyond on a day like today!!
