OPEN WALKED UP ON FIELD TRIAL LINES. We held our final test of the year on Saturday 10th August at Inpark Farm, Cattistock by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Robert Atkinson with an excellent entry of 22 dogs.
Our judges were Judy Rainey, Robert Worrall, Nick Gregory and Henri Fletcher. Results.
The low cloud and fine mist meant a cool day and Robert, as Steward of the Beat, made the best use of the challenging ground. Our Dog Steward, kept a steady flow of dogs and the expert throwers Paul Urquhart, Kevin Phillips, Jill Smith and Patrick kept the dummies flying. We had a variety of cover from long grass, reeds, streams, bracken and cover crops, which really tested the dogs and the nerves of the handlers and then we finished with a mini drive over the pond.
We congratulate those in the awards who were very worthy winners! As always a huge thank you to all the helpers who gave up their day to enable the event to run smoothly, we couldn’t do this without you!
