AA @ C'boro Ploughing Match 28 Sept 2022
URC Southern Area today, Wednesday 28th September 2022 were invited by the Crowborough Ploughing Match Society to hold an Unclassified AA Test at Hamsell Wood Farm, Eridge. This was judged by Mr Jon Debnam.
Always a delightful test to watch, we have spectators at the Match who come over to watch us, being introduced to the world of gundog tests, an excellent showcase for our sport.
We were so lucky with a blue-sky sunny day with a wisp of cloud and one of the handlers today said the test had an “end of term feeling”. There were double exercises in the morning of marks and blinds, with the final test set across the fresh plough after judging had finished – very challenging for some of the younger dogs who hadn’t experienced anything like that before, as well as the challenge of steam engines whistles and hooters, all making for quite an experience for them. The final results were:
