Held at Cubley Shoot on 3rd June 2018
The Novice Test of the North Midland Area was held on the blazing hot day of the 3rd June 2018. Cubley shoot, Derbyshire was used by the by kind permission of The Hon. David Legh. Richard, one of the keepers, had mown parts of the ground which included grassy meadows, woodland, a young plantation and a pond. The judges were Ged Leeson, Carol Probert and Anna Wagland. There was a good entry of Novice dogs. The morning tests involved a mark into the thick cover of a sapling plantation, a mark along a ride in a deciduous wood, and a blind along a mown strip adjacent to a hedgerow. In the afternoon there was a mark on a pond, a walk-up with marks on grassland and a blind along a hedgerow, with a distraction to one side.The trophies and prizes of Alpha dog food were preented by the keeper.
