OPEN WORKING TEST held at The Elms Rockhampton on MAY 12th 2019

TEST 1 Was judged by Nick and was a long swim to a marked retrieve.
TEST 2 Was judged by Simon and was a seen in the field followed by a blind on the same line but through a gap in the hedge and down a track in the wood behind. The dogs had to go through the fall of the previous retrieve.
TEST 3 Was judged by Nick and was a “ Duck Drive “on a different part of the lake. There were two dogs sat up together.
We had a couple of “ wild fowler's” on the opposite bank of the lake firing multiple pistol shots as they walked along the bank.
One dummy was thrown onto the first island, two on the bank, one onto the second island and one behind on the bank
Only the right and left dummies were collected from the islands with the dummies on the bank collected by hand.
TEST 4 Was judged by Simon and was a very long blind across the field and a seen over ditch. Both were saluted by a shot. The blind was collected first
TEST 5 Was judged by both judges and was a four dog walk up, with a seen behind and a blind over a fence both to a shot. They were crossing retrieves and the blind was collected first

The trophy for the best Labrador was won by Arcklebear's Crested Ten handled by Clare Baker
The trophy for the best Golden Retriever was won by Polihale Grizzly Bear of Foxcote owned and handled by Jill Gardner
Well done to every one in the awards
We were blessed with great weather and our only constraint on the use of the land was that the mowing grass had not been mown
We must thank the landowners for the use of their extensive ground
