The Open qualifier was held at Farleigh Hungerford on 19th May by invitation of Farleigh Properties Ltd and kind permission of Bath Rugby Club. The tests were judged by Chris Rose and Joy Venturi-Rose. The first 3 tests were a blind across water, a seen retrieve and a left and right. The blind was completed by most dogs, the left and right proved the most challenging with both dummies falling into woodland, the mark proving to be the least challenging of the tests. The final tests were a blind followed by a mark, this completed by most dogs, and a single blind where the dogs had to navigate a stream and a bank. The final test was a walk-up, dogs being asked to pick a very long blind, the less experienced dogs struggling with this. A run off was required to find first place, this was a water retrieve with distraction.
